Ever since launching our Space Traffic Management solution SAFE, Ecosmic has been validating its performance against Space-Track, the most widely used collision avoidance service. SAFE's strenght lies in its algorithms, which discard old assumptions and approximations to analyse collision risks timely and precisely. We launched our validation campaign to back up that claim with data, and we compiled our results in a White Paper accessible to all.
No false positives, no false negatives
SAFE vastly outperforms Space-Track in accuracy, eliminating all false collision alerts produced by Space-Track, which translates in hours of work saved to satellite operators. SAFE also spots all the rare, but potentially disastrous false negatives produced by Space-Track: risky close encounters that Space-Track does not notice are identified and notified to operators.
More time to act
All of this is done faster than what Space-Track can offer: SAFE delivers 75% of alerts more than 24 hours in advance, giving operators more time to decide, plan, and react to collision risks. From accuracy to timeliness, SAFE sets a new benchmark in Space Traffic Management, enabling efficient, continous, and scalable satellite operations.
